Currency Exchange
Credit/debit card payments and money transfers are received in Canadian Dollars (CAD). Payments made in a different currency are converted to Canadian Dollars on a current currency exchange rate of payor’s financial institution or card provider. All credit/debit card return transactions, if applicable, are made in CAD. Askew Paralegal Services is not responsible for fluctuation of foreign currency exchange rates that may impact refunded amount during conversion to a different currency. #TOKEN-sName can process money transfer refunds in a different currency if directed by a client in writing. We not responsible for any foreign currency exchange rates or money transfer charges and bank fees, as they are deducted from any refundable amount.
Refund Policy
Askew Paralegal Services provides its services according to a predetermined fee schedule, which clients agree to before any work commences. This agreement is formalized through a signed and acknowledged written Retainer Agreement.
In cases where work is not completed due to a professional withdrawing from or discontinuing services, a paralegal/consultant or client ending services due to a breakdown in the professional relationship or conflict in the management or continuation of the Retainer, any refund will be calculated based on the uncompleted portion of the Retainer Agreement. Disbursements will also be deducted from any Retainer refund. All fees paid to Askew Paralegal Services for work completed are non-refundable and are not contingent on the matter's outcome.
Askew Paralegal Services reserves the right to modify our refund policy at any time. If a policy change occurs, it will be published on this website.
NOTE: A significant number of online queries featuring “lawyers near me” or “best lawyer in” typically indicate a desire for prompt and proficient legal assistance rather than a particular designation. In Ontario, licensed paralegals operate under the same Law Society that governs lawyers and are permitted to represent clients in specified litigation matters. Core elements of their role include advocacy, legal analysis, and procedural expertise. Askew Paralegal Services provides legal representation within its licensed parameters, focusing on strategic positioning, evidence preparation, and compelling advocacy with the goal of securing effective and advantageous outcomes for clients.
